She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies, And all that's best of dark and bright Meets in her aspect and her eyes; Thus mellow'd to that tender light Which Heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impair'd the nameless grace Which waves in every raven tress Or softly lightens o'er her face, Where thoughts serenely sweet express How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek and o'er that brow So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent,— A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent.
~Lord Byron

What a fantastic shot! The composition is outstanding. Your photo is so clear and sharp -- and the contrast of her beautiful sari against the light coloured building is perfect.

@Zorilla: Thanks...You are curious to find out more?
great shot - the back texture and color mixed with the bright clothing is perfect. I am a little unsettled by the women walking out of the frame instead of into it. I don't know why but it changes the whole feel of the image. What do you think?
6 Feb 2008 5:18am
@Jason Kravitz: Thanks for your helpful comments.
I do agree that I would love to see the woman walking into the frame rather than out of it. I very much wanted it the same way when i was finally editing it. Likewise I have an option to flip the pic vertically (she wud be entering from left) or leave it the way it is... ~
This is really lovely!

6 Feb 2008 11:59am
@Helma: Thanks :)
I like this and the idea of it, but I think it would work better if she was entering the frame rather than leaving it. Although I have one with the same dilemma that I also posted a while back. Sometimes the option isn't there.
6 Feb 2008 12:05pm
@Laurie: Actually I like the idea that she is leaving... rather than coming in... :)
You wudn't have much choice in street photography like a studio shot.
